AW12: II lookbook from The Revolver Project. Vintage finds (Yes, more vintage and to that I say, so what?) leaving me lusting after one item in particular, which shall remain Top Secret until I can get my hands on it! Check them out on Facebook or Twitter here.
I’m an editorial fiend, an absolute junkie for a slick layout and some stellar styling. I pore through all fashion spreads in every magazine I can, dropping everything I’m doing at that moment in time. The same goes for that time of day when Fashion Gone Rogue’s newsletter lands in my inbox (it goes without saying that I am more than happy FGR has been able to continue – as well as editorial content, it has also introduced me to some of my favourite indie magazines and independent publications). As do most people at some stage, I sometimes think that I’m stuck in a style ‘rut’ as regards content; in that I cling to the same type of styling over and over. For the most part, masculine tailoring with lashings of statement gold jewellery is guaranteed to make me salivate. However, in this instance, I think I’ve picked a pretty random, albeit fabulous, selection. Can anybody spot a theme? Which editorial is your favourite?
This is a look I absolutely love and have been raving about for ages now. Despite this trend being readily available on the high street in Warehouse and Topshop, particularly embraced by ASOS, it’s a look I haven’t seen many people trying – it’s a look I haven’t tried yet. Looking ahead to the Christmas outings, a suit-and-boot combo is a much preferrable option to tiny, sequinned dresses – it calls out to my anti-glamourpuss!
What started out as your average post on this lovely tee in this lovely colour teamed with this lovely coat from Penneys turned into something a whole lot more sports luxe-ish upon realising that I didn’t want to cover this tee’s rolled-up sleeves with (I’ll admit it, much-needed) layers. With that, said tee was untucked and the hair bunged up in a high pony, giving me one of my favourite #ootd’s in a while. My vintage chain from Siopaella (as seen here) is also on better display for all to see. Success!
A quickie post: clean and simple, my intern’s ‘uniform’ is spiced up with tapered leather pants (picked up for a bargain €20 in Urban Outfitters’ recent sale) and emerald drop earrings poached from my Mam’s jewellery box – always a treasure trove of finds.
